Dr Ayoub Al- Jawaldeh, Jordan National born on 19 February 1960, He is an International expert in Nutrition, holding PhD in Nutrition from Khartoum University in 2000, MSc, Post Graduate Diploma , and BSc in Nutrition and Food Technology from Jordan University in 1993, 1987, and 1982, respectively. He was associated with Vienna University from 2011 – 2021, teaching a course for graduate students namely “International Nutrition policy: Theory and Implementation” He is working with the World Health Organization as a Regional Adviser in Nutrition in the Eastern Mediterranean Region since 2009 until now. Before that, he was working with the United Nations World Food Programme for about 20 years as Deputy Country Director, Head of Programmes and International Expert in many countries i.e. Egypt, Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan, Malawi, and Iraq. He started his career in Jordan as clinical dietitian in Queen Alia Heart Center / King Hussein Medical City for two years; and as Food Quality Control Officer at Ministry of Trade and Supply in Jordan for five years. He is a programme manager who simultaneously manages multiple international executive functions including nutrition policies and strategies, research and capacity building programme; addressing double burden of malnutrition, including maternal and child nutrition, diet related risk factors for non-communicable diseases, and nutrition for emergencies in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. He was awarded by many International and national Organizations He has more than 150 publications and books in nutrition, food system, and NCDs, available online at Google scholar: ORCID: 0000-0001-7387-8277, ResearchGate and WHO websites.

Prof. Yahya Al-Farsi is a Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman. He served in several leading academic positions among which the Assistant Dean for Training & Community Service, and Acting Dean of College of Medicine & Health Sciences, Chairman of SQU Hospital, and Member of SQU University Council. He is the Chairman of Oman Autism Society, and Oman Public Health Society. Regionally, he has served as a Public Health Consultant at the Gulf Health Council, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he contributed towards the establishment of the Health Research Unit and the Gulf CDC Center. Internationally, he is an Adjunct Professor at Boston University, USA, and Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London, UK. He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has supervised several Masters and PhD dissertations.

is Professor of Paediatric Nutrition at University College London, Institute of Child Health, and Honorary Consultant Paediatrician at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He graduated in Medicine from the Royal Free Hospital, London in 1986 and has been a consultant in pediatrics since 1998. Previously, he was the Director and Deputy Director of the Childhood Nutrition Research Centre, UCL Institute of Child Health.
He has broad interests in paediatric nutrition, but his current research focuses on the influence of early nutrition for long-term health, the effects of nutritional interventions to reduce long-term cardiovascular risk, causes and consequences of childhood obesity, and nutritional interventions for the treatment and prevention of obesity in young children.

is Associate Professor and Director of Dietetics Education at Drexel University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) has been a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition for more than 20 years. She is author of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Pocket Guide to Pediatric Nutrition, whose third edition will be published in 2019, and is a past Editor-in-Chief of the Academy’s Pediatric Nutrition Care Manual.
In addition to her experience in pediatrics, she has a passion for the profession of nutrition and dietetics and has served as chair of the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group, member of the Commission on Dietetic Registration, member of the Council on Future Practice, and on the Academy’s Board of Directors. She is a recipient of the Academy’s Medallion Award.
In 2018, Ms. Leonberg served for 5 months as a Fulbright Scholar in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. There she taught infant and pediatric nutrition to nursing, medicine and surgery students and professionals at Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute and numerous locations throughout Uzbekistan. She has also taught pediatric nutrition in Beirut, Dubai, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait. She is currently the chair-elect of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Global Member Interest Group and is
working to improve nutrition care around the world.
